Bad weather continues to lash the city of Milan and Lombardy. The rain has been falling, almost without interruption, since yesterday evening. Floods and inundations, caused by incessant rain falling for 24 hours, are creating serious inconvenience in Milan and in much of Lombardy.

The Lambro River burst its banks in Milan on Wednesday after heavy rain that started late on Tuesday, causing flooding in some areas and significant traffic problems throughout the city. The flooding forced some people to leave their homes and prompted rescues. A number of videos shared on social media show the flood appearing to submerge a number of parked cars.
