A powerful tornado emerged in the Rancaekek area, Bandung Regency and parts of the Sumedang area, Wednesday afternoon.

The affected areas in Semedang Regency are Jatinangor and Cimanggung sub-districts, while in Bandung Regency there are Rancaekek, Cicalengka and Cileunyi sub-districts.

The BPBD asked residents to be alert because a similar disaster could potentially occur. He said that strong winds and tornadoes could occur as the peak of the rainy season approaches in March.
