A powerful hailstorm struck northern China, with Hebei Province suffering the most severe damage. Cities including Shijiazhuang, Baoding, Tangshan, and Zhangjiakou reported hailstones up to 6 centimeters in diameter and winds reaching ninety kilometers per hour. The storm damaged over 75,000 hectares of crops, left 42,000 households without power, and caused injuries to more than 120 people. Authorities have declared a yellow alert, allocated 50 million yuan for recovery, and warned of possible new storms in the coming days.
