Over the past few days, Turkey has been hit by heavy snowfall and a sharp drop in temperatures. The heaviest precipitation was recorded in Eastern Anatolia, including the provinces of Van, Hakkari, Bitlis, Muş, and Ardahan. The snowfall caused temporary school closures, difficulties on the roads, and limited access to rural areas. Central and northern parts of the country, including Sivas, Bolu, Trabzon, Rize, and Giresun, also experienced transportation disruptions. Municipal and public services are working around the clock to clear roads and ensure access for emergency vehicles. Meteorologists warn that snowy and cold weather may continue for several more days, especially in mountainous regions. Residents are advised to exercise caution, limit travel, and follow official weather warnings.
