A fast-moving storm hit southeast Texas on Thursday for the second time this month, causing widespread damage.

The storm also downed trees and knocked out power to more than 900,000 homes and businesses in the Houston area.

Widespread rainfall totals of 2 to 6 inches are expected from Texas to Georgia through Saturday morning.
