Severe storms dropped hail ranging in size from quarters to golf balls to baseballs fell on North and Central Texas Thursday.

First Warning Weather Team reported Granbury, San Marcos and Johnson City took considerable damage due to wind-blown hail.

The National Weather Service even had a report of 5 inch hail from a meteorologist in Johnson City in Blanco County. At around 10 p.m., there were 13,337 without power in San Marcos and the numbers appear to slowly improve.
