Parts of southeastern Utah were under a flash flood watch as of Thursday afternoon, according to Grand County emergency management. Apart from flash floods, storms accompanied by hail also hit the Utah area.

This supervision will take effect from Thursday afternoon until evening. Officials say this will specifically impact Arches National Park, Grand Flat, Canyonlands National Park, the Natural Bridge National Monument area, the La Sal and Abajo mountains, and the Tavaputs Plateau.

The flood warning comes after flash flooding occurred Friday near Moab. Emergency management said the flooding was caused by excessive water runoff, and may impact urban areas with poor drainage.
