Areas north of the city of Riyadh experienced moderate to heavy rain, accompanied by strong winds and hail on Friday evening.

Video clips circulated on social media showed how hail storm broke the windows of cars passing by the Riyadh Al-Qassim Highway, amid cold weather and brisk winds.

On the other hand, a video clip documented the destruction that befell Izbat Abu Abdul Rahman Al Osaimi as a result of the hail storm that struck the Al Hasi area, north of Riyadh.
