On June 2, some areas in China experienced "ice" weather such as in Yanji, Jilin Province starting in the evening, thunderstorms appeared from west to east in Yanji, accompanied by strong winds and short-term hail in some places. Many netizens uploaded photos of the hail they found on social platforms, some hailstones were up to 4 cm in size.

In response to this weather process, the Yanji Meteorological Observatory has issued a yellow warning signal for thunderstorms, a blue warning signal for strong winds, and a yellow warning signal for hail. Affected by cold air, from late evening on the 13th to noon on the 14th, most areas of Yanji will experience northerly winds of around Level 3, with gusts of Level 6 to 7.
