Chaos in Slovakia today! A powerful storm, hail hit many buildings in Kosice

Eastern Slovakia has not yet recovered from the devastating storm surge that struck a week ago, and another storm is already approaching. Many cities and regions are still repairing damage from the previous storm. Meteorologists issued a second-level warning for storms and flooding in several districts on Monday.

They reported on social media just after 1 p.m. that a supercell storm had formed north of Košice and was moving eastward to the southeast. They warned of the possibility of large hail, heavy rain, and strong winds. The meteorologists' predictions came true, with eastern residents on the Meteo Východ Facebook group reporting hail, for example, in Kostoľany nad Hornádom or in Družstevná pri Hornáde.
