Huge tornado hits South Africa! roofs of buildings destroyed in Welkom

Several homes and businesses were damaged when a tornado-like wind funnel struck Welkom in the Matjhabeng Municipality on Sunday. The severe weather event, which hit the town on Sunday, caused significant structural damage in various parts of Welkom.

In particular, the Welkom Fire Station sustained serious damage, resulting in all communication lines being cut. Authorities were on the scene to assist residents and deal with the aftermath of the storm.
