Severe rain in the past two days has resulted in flooding in some areas of Nelson Mandela Bay and east London.

Kariega is among the areas that have been hit hardest, with videos circulating on social media of the settlements in the city being flooded.

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality said the persistent rain had caused flooding in Kariega and Seaview, among other areas.
