Man Turns FALLEN TREE into a HIDDEN SHELTER | Start to Finish by @PolissyaBushcraft

Over a year ago, Michael transformed this accidental hollow into a primitive cabin using nothing but the materials offered by the forest itself: roots, branches, soil, saplings, moss, and fire. Now he comes back to rebuild, improve, and continue the experiment.

This project unfolds in a wild, mixed woodland typical of the Polissya region, where soft soils, storm-felled trees, and abundant undergrowth have historically shaped unique forms of earth-based shelter.

Working entirely off-grid and without modern construction tools, he rebuilds the cabin in the same spirit that guided early forest dwellers: adapting to the terrain, using only renewable materials, and relying on the engineering principles embedded in ancient wattlework, earth shelters, and natural architecture. What emerges is a living study of how humans once built with instinct, patience, and the quiet intelligence of the land itself.
