Millions of ice balls invade France! 5-inch hail destroys homes and vehicles

Wednesday July 11 and Thursday July 12, 2024, Dantesque storms hit Haute-Garonne, and other departments of Occitanie. They are locally violent, particularly in Haute-Garonne, Tarn, Lot, Aveyron and Lozère.

In places, these are supercell storms. In other words, they rotate on themselves and cause hail to fall. These are large hailstones, locally close to 5 to 6 cm or even more.

On social networks, several residents testify, photos and videos supporting the violence of the episode. Many impacts are to be deplored on cars.
