Thunderstorms, heavy rain and hail have caused nuisance in various places in the country. Heavy rain and thunderstorms passed over Limburg on Thursday.

Venlo and the Heuvelland in particular have been hit hard. Several streets in cities and villages, including the Parade in Venlo, were flooded by the storm.

The region around Venlo, Limburg, in particular, had a hard time: more than 70 millimeters of rain fell locally, almost twice as much as normally falls in the entire month of May.
