Flash floods have hit Phuket after heavy rain overnight, inundating key areas such as Koh Sirey and Karon. Authorities have warned of landslides and heavy rain ahead. Several areas in the popular island province were hit by flash floods on Wednesday morning following heavy rain overnight, causing widespread disruption and prompting weather warnings across southern Thailand.

The worst-hit areas were Koh Sirey, a small island connected to mainland Phuket by a bridge, and Tambon Karon, according to local officials. Both locations are in Mueang District, which has experienced severe flooding in recent months. Many roads in the area were flooded.
