Heavy rain and strong winds caused damage in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo on Friday night. In the western part of the capital of São Paulo, sidewalks were covered in water. In the eastern part of the city, traffic was interrupted and drivers were forced to stop wherever possible.

A video circulating on social media shows the damage caused by a fallen tree in Largo dos Leões, in Humaitá, blocking a section of the street. At the Vila Militar do Inmet station, a wind of 82 km/h was recorded between 3 pm and 4 pm.
