Storm Louis, as named by France, also known as Storm Wencke in Germany, is a small but rapidly intensifying low sweeping across parts of Northern Europe through Thursday 22nd February, into Friday 23rd.

Departments of Ile-de-France, Normandy, Hauts-de-France, Centre-Val de Loire, Grand-Est, as well as Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Occitanie are affected by this alert.

All departments in the Paris region have been placed under vigilance orange for strong winds, with gusts estimated at between 90 and 100 km/h, and frequent peaks of 100 to 120 km/h.
