China Weather Network reported that strong convective weather such as strong winds, hail, and short-term heavy rain occurred in northern Anhui. On June 17, a large hail suddenly fell in Lingbi County, Suzhou, Anhui. Pictures taken by residents showed that the hail was the size of a fist.

According to local residents, the hail fell twice on the afternoon of the 17th, the first time around 2:30 pm and the second time a little after 3:00 pm. The hail and strong winds lasted for more than an hour, causing the windshields of vehicles in the city to be shattered and the roof tiles of houses to be severely damaged.
