Heavy to moderate rain and hail occurred in most urban areas in Saudi Arabia since Sunday morning. Heavy rain occurred in most governorates and cities in the southern Asir region, including the cities of Abha and Khamis Mushayt, in addition to the governorates of Rijal Alma', Al-Namas and Tanuma. The rain was accompanied by hail that covered most of the main roads and highways.

Rain was received in several governorates of the Asir region such as Balqarn, Barq, Mahayil, Al-Majaridah, Sarat Ubaida, Ahad Rufaidah, and several urban centers affiliated with Tarib, Al-Amwah, and Bisha governorates.

Meanwhile, the government also announced the overflow of 15 dams in the Al-Baha region, after the water level in them rose to its storage capacity, causing flooding due to heavy rains that occurred in the region.
