Laos is under water! Bridge collapses, river water explodes in Vientiane

Many parts of Laos, especially the capital Vientiane, have been hit by floods after the peak monsoon rainfall in June, causing severe damage to homes, infrastructure and agriculture, according to the Central Disaster Management Committee.

About 125 homes have been flooded, while livestock, roads and bridges, schools, health centers, power supplies and other buildings have been affected, with estimated losses of more than 318 billion kip to date.
