Deep in a wooded mountain landscape stands a house that shouldn't have been ordinary.

And wasn't.

Built in 1957, more than a decade after World War II officially ended, it is, in every practical sense, still a product of that war. Because a conflict of that scale doesn't end with a signed treaty. It ends slowly, in shortages, in scars, in the quiet resourcefulness of a generation rebuilding its world one salvaged stone at a time.

By the time this house rose from the ground, Europe was still finding its feet. Materials were scarce and often recycled and skilled hands were rarer still, as an entire generation of tradesmen had vanished into the war, leaving construction to determined amateurs who built on instinct rather than training.

As you see, the result was a house without pretense: practical, honest, built to survive rather than impress.

Indeed, that history is written into every wall.

Now, working completely alone and off-grid, Luxon takes it on, battling failing roofs, crumbling masonry and a punishing mountain terrain to bring the house (and its history) back to life.
