The rain that fell for approximately two hours non-stop poured over several areas of Johor, precisely at Simpang Renggam, Kluang, causing the river water level to rise and hundreds of houses were reported to be submerged in water of varying heights.

Two temporary evacuation centers (PPS) were opened at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Datuk Onn Jaafar and SK Seri Kampung Renggam, Kluang, at 12.00 noon yesterday. The opening followed flash floods that affected 116 residents in the district.
