The intense rains that have been hitting Reynosa since early Thursday morning have caused severe flooding in various parts of the city, clogging roads and affecting hundreds of motorists, pedestrians, and homes. Hidalgo and Morelos avenues, the busiest roads in this border city, were flooded, with several vehicles stranded.

Since 4:00 a.m., the downpour generated accumulations of up to six inches, and after 3:00 p.m., another downpour hit the border municipality again, turning main avenues into veritable rivers, paralyzing traffic in various areas, including industrial parks and access to maquiladoras.
