Now Saudi Arabia is in chaos! Floods and severe hailstorms hit Riyadh

Saudi authorities ordered schools closed in several parts of the kingdom on Sunday after floodwaters submerged large swathes of roads from a new wave of heavy rains that hit the Gulf desert region. Video footage showed partially submerged cars trying to navigate through the floodwaters in the Riyadh region, home to more than five million people. The region was among the areas hit by heavy rains on Sunday.

In addition to the flood, several areas in Riyadh also experienced a rainstorm accompanied by falling hail. Several residents who witnessed the incident were shocked because in the same area there was a flash flood. This time the hailstones varied in size from the size of a walnut to the size of a marble. The local government also appealed to residents not to do activities outside the home to avoid unwanted incidents.
