Today Japan is under water! Floods submerge Matsuyama, 189,000 people affected

On the 2nd November 2024, Matsuyama City issued an "urgent safety alert" to 101,611 households and 189,552 people in 10 districts of the city at noon due to the risk of flooding. Specifically, the areas are Ajizake, Dogo, Ajiu, Shintama, Wake, Horie, Ogori, Hisaeda, Shiomi, and Shimizu.

Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, Japan received 100 millimeters of heavy rain today. Heavy rain fell in northern Kyushu and other places in Japan due to the low pressure and front that weakened from this year's No. 21 Typhoon Kongrey.
