A severe snowstorm hit several provinces in Turkey. Due to the snowstorm, several areas were affected such as Kayseri, Niğde, Nevşehir, Bolu, Gümüşhane, Bayburt, Yozgat, Tokat, Sivas, Kahramanmaraş, Erzincan, Kırşehir, and Kastamonu.

Meanwhile, the highway from Bayburt to Gümüşhane was closed to transportation due to heavy snowstorm. On the Bayburt-Gümüşhane highway, transportation to Gümüşhane was stopped at Kayışkıran and Vauk Mountain Pass due to heavy snowfall, snowstorm, and some vehicles skidding.
