On July 1, Pingjiang, Hunan Province was hit by a heavy rainstorm. The water level of the Miluo River soared. Pingjiang River Station exceeded the warning level by 7 meters and exceeded the guaranteed water level by 3.5 meters.

As a result, the flood overflowed the river embankment and flowed back into Pingjiang County, lower areas were flooded, leaving many people trapped, and the county town's infrastructure was badly damaged.

Heavy rains have affected more than 200,000 people in Pingjiang County, with more than 1,000 roads and bridges damaged and public transport disrupted. So far, data is still being collected as to whether there were any casualties or not.
