Thousands of people have been forced to evacuate their homes due to flash floods triggered by incessant heavy rains that have inundated several areas in Kumalarang, Zamboanga Peninsula since Saturday.

In several videos circulating on social media, the floods were seen with varying heights from the lowest 20 centimeters to the highest reaching 200 centimeters. Many affected residents did not have time to save their valuables because the floods came very quickly and rose very high.
