A Genoese low pressure system reached the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, bringing heavy rain. In Kielce, the rain began around 5:00 PM. According to the Kielce Nasze Miasto website, the streets quickly turned into torrents of water. Cars were literally floating, and drivers had significant difficulty navigating the city.

The most severe problems were reported at the Giedroycia Roundabout at the intersection of Paderewskiego, Ogrodowa, and Żytnia Streets. The road was flooded, and standing water stranded vehicles. Major problems also occurred on the Krakowska Street section after Podkarczówka, towards Krakow. Drivers were forced to use the sidewalks due to the flooded road.
