Taiwan devastated today! Powerful Typhoon Danas destroyed hundreds of buildings and cars

Typhoon Danas made landfall in Taiwan late at night on the 6th of this month. Wind and rain caused trees to fall, roofs to be damaged, and boats to capsize in the harbor. Strong gusts with an average wind speed of 13 to 16 were reported along the coast of Yunlin, Chiayi and Tainan.

The roofs of many coastal towns were blown off and the power poles were broken, which also caused a power outage for tens of thousands of households. Many people got up early to clean up their homes, and the large archway in front of the Nankunshen Dai Tianfu in the north gate was blown down by the strong wind. As of 10 a.m., more than 150,000 households were without power.
