Chaos in Canada today! Powerful hail storm bombards Calgary, people shocked

A strong supercell thunderstorm blew into the Calgary area on Sunday evening, bringing a dose of high winds, large hail, and heavy rains to the region. On July 13, 2025, a severe thunderstorm struck southern Alberta and moved eastward, resulting in significant and damaging hail, strong winds, heavy rainfall, and localized flooding in parts of Calgary.

Several eyewitnesses used social media to document the storm as it passed through the Calgary area on Sunday night. Environment and Climate Change Canada said it had received several reports of hail measuring 2 to 4 centimetres, which damaged homes, downed trees and dented vehicles.
