China now! Severe flooding submerges cars and buildings in Chengdu, Sichuan

On July 3, Chengdu, Sichuan experienced heavy rain in the afternoon. During the afternoon rush hour, the rain in Chengdu continued, causing some roads to be flooded up to the waist, and traffic in the city was blocked. Seen in several videos shared by local residents, where water inundated the streets up to half the body of the car. The water that was too high also flowed into the subway station, and seeped into the train tracks.

From 14:00 to 17:00 on the same day, heavy rainfall occurred in many places in Chengdu, including Qingyang District, Chenghua District, and Jinniu District, with a total of 9 stations experiencing heavy rain, 42 stations experiencing heavy rain, and 40 stations experiencing heavy rain.
