Typhoon Ofel (Usagi) made landfall in Cagayan, Philippines. At 1:30 PM, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration announced that typhoon’s eye landed on the vicinity of Baggao, Cagayan.

Usagi, called Ofel in the Philippines, is the fifth major storm to hit the country in the past three weeks. Typhoon Usagi was barreling toward the Philippines on Thursday with the force of a Category 4 storm. Typhoons Ofel and Nika have affected more than 300,000 people across several parts of Luzon.
